CIEH Principles of Manual Handling


Since 1992 it has become a legal requirement to ensure that any person who is required to transport or support a load, including lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving of a load must be manual handling trained.

Manual Handling

Manual handling is the number one cause for lost working days as a result of an accident. Accidents and illness can result in disability, inability to work or death. Injuries to employees sustained while handling, lifting or carrying objects have accounted for 41% of all accidents in the workplace


This course enables employees to contribute to the development of safer handling methods and tasks within the workplace

Achievements
